February 2020 - Designed and Produced by The Gathery: Production Coordinator
For the launch of Season 4 of HBO's popular series, High Maintenance, the production team chose a local Brooklyn garden to undergo a community-focused makeover in collaboration with Grow NYC, timed around Earth Day 2020.
To unveil both the project and the new season, an exclusive event was hosted at the fresh Mission Chinese restaurant in Bushwick. Cast members, media, friends, and fortunate fans were treated to a sneak peek of the first two episodes of High Maintenance Season 4. Against a backdrop of trippy hidden menus and flower bong centerpieces, guests indulged in exclusive munchies and custom cocktails. The evening featured a hands-on element as guests personalized their own ceramic bongs, with everyone receiving a giveaway tube filled with specialty items, including uniquely designed High Maintenance coloring books, long sleeve tees, buttons featuring art from the show, CBD oil from Tonic, and branded matches and rolling paper. Adding a touch of community spirit, the giveaway tube also included a seed paper invite encouraging attendees to volunteer at the upcoming Earth Day event. As a green finale, each of the 115 attendees took home a succulent from the main screen display, symbolizing a piece of greenery to nurture with the love from High Maintenance.
